Crate Builder - $21.00/hour to start - Airport Area - Excellent Benefits
- Maintain a safe work environment; wear proper PPE and adhere to safe working standards.
- Unload truck shipments using forklifts; single pieces or full truckloads.
- Receive, inspect, count, and process warehouse inventory using forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, etc.
- Organize inventory neatly; keep items organized and readily accessible.
- Build crates for machinery as needed from materials using saws, nail guns, screw guns, etc.
- Prepare orders for shipment (load, pack, wrap, build crate, label, ship).
- Perform inventory controls and keep standards high for accurate shipment of products.
- Optimize space utilization in the warehouse.
- Communicate and cooperate with coworkers.
- Follow quality standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Ensure Quality Control for all shipments and inventory.
- Clean as you go, and keep the warehouse and work areas clean and neat at all times.
- Forklift Experience (Moving fragile machinery, loading trucks, etc).
- Good carpentry skills.
- Experience packing/crating machinery for safe transport.
- Moderate computer skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Very detail-oriented.
- Ability to lift 50 + lbs regularly.
- Shipping/Receiving experience.
- Bring new ideas from previous experience to improve processes.
- Good overall attitude and work ethic (which will be noticed and rewarded).
